i. Reach Out!

The conservation group called the Environmental Defense Fund is based in New York. They bring together science, law, and economics to tackle the environmental issues that are out there today. Although the group also concentrates on air pollution, one of its main concerns is ocean/water pollution. Our dissolved oxygen information could be important to them. By knowing how environmental issues affect the amount of dissolved oxygen in aquatic ecosystems, they will know how each and every ounce of pollution that is put into the water is affecting the lives of the plants, animals, and the quality of the water itself. Pollution reduces the amount of dissolved oxygen that water can hold. Environmental issues not only affect humans, but all forms of life. Using this information, the organization will be able to reach out to others and inform the world that pollution is affecting everything around us.
